Sandra Wong

Sandra has lived and worked in North Manchester all her life. A qualified, practicing solicitor, mother of three and most recently a grandmother, Sandra, in her spare time likes to spend time with her family.
Sandra  has also been working in her local community for the last 20 years and was a volunteer for the Cheetham Al-Hilal Community Project from 1998 Р2012.
During this time she set up the Al-Hilal Adult Toddler Group with fellow volunteer Sarah Salam, and worked with Sure Start, Manchester City Council and various organisations during this period. This gave her the necessary experience to develop other projects that benefited the local community, including women’s health events, youth projects (including sports), health and wellbeing events, charity fundraising events, family fun days, trips and outings for parents and carers and numerous interfaith events. It also gave her the opportunity to hone her skills in drafting funding applications, managing budgets, marketing and advertising, networking and developing and managing projects for the local community.
Sandra is passionate about the community she lives in, and was keen to remain involved with her community which led to her involvement with Al-Hilal Regeneration Enterprise CIC in 2015.
